Hajj Policy 2025

• Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Chaudhry Salik Hussain, has announced the Hajj Policy 2025.

• For the year 2025, Pakistan’s Hajj quota is set at 179,210 pilgrims, as stated by the Federal Minister for Religious Affairs.

• The quota distribution between government and private Hajj schemes will be divided equally at a 50:50 ratio.

• A total of 89,605 seats have been allocated for both government and private Hajj schemes.

• In the government Hajj scheme, 5,000 seats will be reserved for the Sponsorship Scheme, announced Chaudhry Salik Hussain.

• To participate in the Sponsorship Scheme, foreign exchange must be sent through banking channels from overseas, according to the Federal Minister for Religious Affairs.

• In the private Hajj scheme, 30,000 seats will be allocated for the Sponsorship Scheme.

• The government sponsorship scheme will operate on a “first-come, first-served” basis, exempting applicants from the lottery system.

• The foreign exchange collected through the Sponsorship Scheme will be exclusively used for Hajj- related expenses in Saudi Arabia, as stated by the Federal Minister for Religious Affairs.

Mandatory Things For Hajj 2025

• As per Saudi regulations, for Hajj 2025, pilgrims over 65 years of age are required to present a COVID-19 vaccination certificate. Without this certificate, travel for Hajj will not be permitted.

• However, applicants are conditionally allowed to submit their applications if they provide an assurance to submit a Saudi-approved COVID-19 vaccination certificate before February 10, 2025.
